Privacy policy
This explains what happens to the details you send us through this website: what we collect, who sees it, how long we keep it and how to get it removed. It’s short, because this website does very little with your data.

Who we are
This website belongs to CTL Plumbing & Heating, a plumbing and heating business run by Calum Long, based in Bearsted, Maidstone, Kent, and working across Kent and the South East. We’re the data controller for anything you send us through it.
If you want to talk to us about your data, or about this policy, email info@ctl-kent.co.uk or call or text 07710 544484.
What we collect
There is one form on this website, the enquiry form on the contact page. It sends us exactly this and nothing else:
- Your name
- So we know who we’re replying to. Required.
- Your email address
- So we can reply. Required.
- Your phone number
- Optional: give it if you’d rather we rang or texted you back than emailed.
- What the enquiry is about
- The subject you pick from the dropdown (for example a boiler installation or a general plumbing job), so the enquiry reaches the right person quickly.
- Your message
- Whatever you write in the box, usually what needs doing and roughly where you are. Please don’t send anything sensitive here; it’s an email, not a secure portal.
- The cover plan you were looking at
- Only if you arrived from a cover plan button. It records which plan you clicked, nothing more.
The form also carries two invisible anti-spam checks: a hidden field that only an automated bot would fill in, and a timer that notices a form submitted impossibly fast. Neither collects anything about you, and neither is stored.
We don’t ask for card or bank details anywhere on this website, and there’s nowhere to create an account.
How your enquiry reaches us
When you press send, your browser passes the form straight to Web3Forms, a third-party form service that turns it into an email. They process it on our behalf. That makes them our processor, and they handle the message only to deliver it. Their own privacy terms are on their website.
The email arrives at forms@seonat.co.uk, an inbox managed by Seonat, the agency that builds and looks after this website, and is passed straight on to CTL so we can reply. Seonat act as a processor for us too. Nobody else is sent your enquiry.
We don’t sell your details, we don’t share them with other trades or lead-generation companies, and we don’t add you to a mailing list. There is no marketing list on this site to be added to.
Why we’re allowed to use it
Under UK GDPR we rely on two things. Your consent: the tick box you have to confirm before the form will send, in which you agree we can use your details to reply. And our legitimate interest in answering someone who has asked us for a quote or for help; if you contact a plumber, replying to you is exactly what you expect us to do.
If the enquiry turns into a job, we then hold your details because we need them to carry out the work and to keep the records the law requires of a Gas Safe registered business.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that don’t turn into work are kept only as long as we need them to deal with the conversation, and are then deleted from the inbox as part of normal housekeeping.
If we do work for you, we keep the job record, including your contact details and the address we worked at, for as long as we need it for warranties, gas safety records, guarantees and ordinary business and tax records. Ask us to delete something sooner and we will, unless we’re legally required to keep it.
Cookies and consent
By default, this site runs no tracking. No Google Analytics, no advertising tag and no third-party pixels load unless you agree to them. The first time you visit, a short banner asks whether you’re happy for us to use analytics and advertising cookies, for example to measure our Google Ads.
Accept and we may use those cookies; reject (or ignore the banner) and nothing non-essential loads or is stored. You can change your choice at any time with the “Cookie settings” link in the footer. We are switching this advertising measurement on around the site’s launch, and it will only ever run for visitors who have accepted, never before.
The one thing we store without asking is your consent choice itself, kept in your browser so we don’t keep asking. Our host (Vercel) keeps ordinary server logs to run and secure the site, and your enquiry is sent to Web3Forms only when you press send.
Your rights
You can, at any time:
- Ask for a copy of what we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct anything that’s wrong.
- Ask us to delete it (we’ll do it unless we’re legally required to keep a record of the work).
- Object to us using it, or ask us to restrict how we use it.
- Withdraw your consent at any time. That stops any future use, but doesn’t undo the reply we already sent.
Email info@ctl-kent.co.uk and we’ll sort it, normally within a few days, and always within a month. It’s free.
If you’re not happy with how we’ve handled it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK’s data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk. We’d rather you told us first so we can put it right.
Changes to this policy
If how we handle your data changes, we’ll update this page and change the date at the top. This version was last updated on 27 July 2026.
Links to other websites (the Gas Safe Register, our Facebook page, Google Maps directions) take you off this site, and we’re not responsible for what those sites do with your data once you’re there.
Any questions about your data?
Ask us. It’s a short conversation and we’ll give you a straight answer.
