What the work involves
If you let a property, the law requires an annual gas safety check on every gas appliance and flue, plus a Landlord Gas Safety Record (CP12) to give to your tenants. CTL carries out the inspection and issues the certificate.
Homeowners benefit from a gas safety check too: it confirms your boiler, hob, fire and pipework are burning safely, venting properly and free of leaks, and it's a sensible check when buying or selling a home.
We test each appliance for safe operation, correct combustion and ventilation, check the pipework for tightness, and flag anything that needs attention, with the paperwork to prove it's been done.
